Lovely place and if I had to stay here for 4 weeks it wouldn't be at all unpleasant. That said, there is something missing that I can't quite put my finger on. A small collection of slight oversights that collectively add up to perhaps a lack of inspired leadership. If I had to guess, I would say the boss might be slightly off the ball. Advertised at Booking dot com at THB 50,000 a night I was expecting 6 stars. It's closer to 4.25. Specific misses: we unloaded our own taxi and dragged baggage inside and up a step to reception. No big deal but 5 stars is all over that. By the pool I had to repeatedly hunt down someone to order the next drink. The breakfast was quite good but not amazing. The gym is put together by someone that doesn't use a gym. This is a good property in a great location. For the price, they need to come up a couple of levels to be competitive.

Great place to stay in Chiang Mai, would definitely stay here again! Rooms very spacious, clean and accommodating. Breakfast was also good, wide variety of choices and very nice cappuccino!! Employees were very attentive, friendly and helpful! Especially the lady who helped us with the arrangement of a late visit to Elephant Nature Park + our drop off for our rental car!! Kap Kun Ka 🙏🏻 Area is easily walkable and close by Wat Phra Sing

I did a lot of research before i made up my mind about wheee i wanted to stay. It was hard to tell if it was as small and intimate as I was looking for, and it was. The location was amazing. It was so close to Wat Phra Singh, but not so close i could feel the energy of the street or tourists. The hotel entrance is down a quiet side street. Tue staff were so very sweet and accommodating. I had a fractured foot and needed to ice it every evening. Even one night when it was rather late they found ice for me. The breakfasts were lovely. An eggs-as-you-like-it station, cereals, fruit, hot food, breads, jams, juices, coffees. It was not too much. Daily tea was lovely. So nice to stop back at the hotel for tea between walking around. Sweets, fruit, banana bread bites and tea all served in the indoor/outdoor area with umbrellas next to the lawn. The rooms were quiet. Some hallway noise but nothing serious at all (and the hotel was full when i was there at Christmas). Very nice people from all around the world. Americans, Germans, Chinese, Spanish, a melting pot of people. Right at the end of the small street is an amazing place that serves chicken. We saw the lines and waited one day and were not disappointed. We also availed ourselves of the rental and tour operators that are at the end of the small street. they were helpful but not obtrusive. We managed to book an electric Tuktuk as the gas fines sometimes make me ill. The Old City is the place to stay. I don’t care for the super modern big hotels or an environment too distant from the culture I am in. This place hit the spot. I went and scouted a few of the other properties I had considered and was relived to see they each had different issues. Some were located on busy streets or were not warm and inviting. This place is just lovely. I stayed 10 nights! Nearby is a 7-11, Boots, cute coffee shop, money exchange and a place with good food called Good Food. Oh and the Sunday Night market is two blocks away.

The room was very spacious and comfy. Staff were friendly. Provides free snacks and tea between 2-4pm. Stone throw away from two affiliated massage places (same owner as hotel). Very value for money.

What did we like about Phra Singh Village? EVERYTHING! We booked another hotel for our stay in Chiang Mai, but when we got there we realized right away that we would not be happy there. So I got on my Booking.com app and found Phra Singh Village. It looked great, but you can never tell until you arrive. We booked it and as soon as we arrived we were overjoyed about our decision to cancel the first booking. They greeted us in a beautiful, floral lobby with smiles and sweet tea. Our bags were taken to our rooms for us. The room was amazing. Hardwood floors, spacious bathroom, VERY comfortable bed. Next we can talk about the grounds. It's such a beautiful setting. The hotel consists of two buildings, A and B. There's also a gorgeous pool in the middle of the A building. There are flowers and plants everywhere. Everyone, and I mean EVERYONE, greets you with a smile and friendly hello as you move through the grounds. Their restaurant is wonderful as well, probably our favorite part of the whole stay. We got breakfast included, and by the second day the staff knew what type of coffee each of us preferred and had it ready to go when we came down. The food was both delicious and a great variety. I haven't even covered the location, which is central to most of the old city, which makes it easy to walk to the night market, famous temples, etc. I have traveled to many countries in my life, and stayed at hundreds of hotels, and Phra Singh Village is up there as one of the very best I've ever stayed at. While we enjoyed the room, grounds, restaurant and location, it just comes down to the people for us. We WILL stay there every time we come back to Chiang Mai.

The quality and variety of the breakfast was excellent. And the room was clean and spacious and the location in the old part of town was perfect. However the standout for us was the staff, anything we asked about they went beyond. When we asked about bus travel to Chiang Rai, not only did they guide us to the appropriate website, when our bank card didn't work they used their own and we only had to reimburse them. Their kindness saved us so much time and trouble.

The hotel is perfectly located - close to the historical city center and also not far from the airport. It is clean and has a very calm atmosphere, which is also influenced by the very helpful staff. The rooms are nicely and stylishly furnished, there is nothing missing that is necessary for rest after an intensive day. Breakfasts and other meals are completely sufficient.

Super quiet! We had a room on 3rd floor and heard nothing. Away from the bustle of the high street. Staff was pleasant. The room had all amenities and plenty freebies in the minibar. Room was of a good size. Free snacks and drinks in the afternoon. Lush greenery on the territory. Good restaurant. Good coffee. Hotel rooms and common areas treated for mosquitoes and we didn't get bitten once.

I loved so much about this property. the staff really made it. Chris working the night shifts was always so pleasant to talk to, and informative with excellent English. As was Newton who was great, and the whole team. They couldn’t do enough for you. The whole hotel smelt absolutely wonderful. The breakfast was fantastic, they didn’t have any oats out amongst the bountiful things they did had , but when I asked they did me some oats for me. The bed was one of the most comfortable beds we slept on while we’ve been away for a month , it was like a cloud. These things really made it such a brilliant stay.
